DESCRIPTION:

The Baddish Group is a boutique public relations and digital strategy agency specializing in spirits, wine, food, and gourmet lifestyle clients. We have an immediate opening for a Junior Account Executive or Account Executive based out of our New York City office (hybrid), reporting directly to the Founder and CEO. The salary range is $45,000-60,000, commiserate with title and experience.

As a JAE/AE for Baddish Group, you will directly secure press coverage for our clients by pitching and fostering relationships with regional and local media, and by continuously researching and identifying new earned media opportunities. You will also manage influencer identification, outreach, and social media content creation for both Baddish Group and clients.

Ongoing Responsibilities Include:

Monitoring, Reporting, and Inventory

- Oversee virtual assistants and directly jump in when needed to ensure:   

x Client monitoring and clipping is up to date and includes only placements directly secured by Baddish Group

x All client assets (sent and received) are labeled and filed properly in the Shared Drive

x Shipping labels for client media mailings are complete and ready on time

- Identify client media opportunities by reviewing industry publications, writer substacks, relevant PR Facebook groups, HARO requests, Qwoted, etc.

Earned Media

- Assist in the creation of public relations plans and strategies for the client

- Draft media materials including press releases, fact sheets, tasting sheets, bios, and press books on behalf of clients with accuracy and relevance

- Create and update media lists, researching against existing media contacts to ensure contacts are current, active, and relevant

- Draft and execute media strategies, earned media plans, and pitches

- Secure media interest and follow through with the contacts to ensure the stories successfully come to fruition

- Review writing assignments and deadlines with agency founder and/or client

- Prepare interview briefings for clients

- Stay abreast of trends, new products, influencers, experts, and seasonal moments for use in drafting pitches and earning coverage

- Attend relevant industry and client events to build connections with media

- Engage with target media and influencers to build relationships on behalf of agency and clients

Social Media

- Manage Instagram influencer relations identification and outreach programs

- Decipher the difference between organic event/seeding influencers and pay-to-play influencers during the research stage

- Serve as a community manager on LinkedIn or Instagram for select clients, creating on-brand monthly content calendars, posting, and pulling metrics reports

- Make relevant content recommendations and guide the client on graphic/video needs

- Create a weekly editorial calendar for Baddish Group social media that elevates the agency amongst industry, potential new clients, and media

- Perform monthly evaluation reports of social media channels

- Possibility to manage an intern or VA on social media direction as workload ramps up

Event Management

- Coordinate press and influencer invites, requests, and mailings

- Fulfill press requests for product, images, and information

- Research and contract vendors and execution details for events

- Manage execution details for photoshoots, guided tastings, etc.

- Manage guest communication and experience execution

- Support founder and clients on location at media events/opportunities upon request (e.g. picking up food platters, check-in, etc.)

- Support in educating media and influencers at events on the client/topic

- Keep on top of the media landscape, identifying opportunities for campaigns, stories, and link building

- Take photos for social media purposes and create post-event social media recaps 

REQUIREMENTS:

- At least six months of full-time experience at a PR agency working on multiple client accounts

- Proven track record with directly creating media lists, writing media pitches, and securing stories with minimal supervision

- Knowledge of Instagram and LinkedIn for business purposes

- Experience using PowerPoint and media list building softwares such as Muckrack or AirTable

- Passion to build career long-term in the beverage and food sector
