The Account Supervisor (AS), Public Relations at H&S is responsible for overseeing client programs and acts as the primary day-to-day client lead- communicating business needs and objectives; advises on program and campaign goals, while creating and executing strategies. The Account Supervisor will develop and drive effective implementation of programs and plans by identifying the best resources to meet and exceed client expectations and delegating, communicating, and collaborating effectively withthe account team(s).This role reports to the Senior Director, Public Relations, Lifestyle, and is an exempt, salaried position.
The Salary Range for this position is $80,000 - $98,000/yr.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
CLIENT & ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
▪ Proactively consults clients about implementing new ways to meet their needs through a deep understanding of H&S’ industry capabilities, including specialty offerings ( Brand Engagement,etc.).
▪ Oversee team deliverables to ensure the highest quality of work on time and on budget; manage-up to provide timely progress reports anticipating issues.
▪ Deliver high quality written content. Ability to write media releases, fact sheets, pitch notes, pitch emails, client correspondence, press releases, media lists, blog posts, social media content and reports.
▪ Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with clients by continuously adding value and anticipating and addressing their needs; troubleshoot client challenges as they arise, seeking senior management input when appropriate.
▪ Keen understanding of the clients’ business needs, goals, and competitive environments; positioned as a day-to-day client contact and trusted advisor; provides counsel.
▪ Ability to decode culture to concept, craft media relations briefs that generate persuasive and shareable earned coverage (e.g., editorial, and social), remaining on top of industry, social and cultural trends.
▪ Manage account activities including virtual and in-person experiences, media and influencer events, media relations, social media, desk-side briefings, and program implementation.
▪ Responsible for building and maintaining top-notch press relationships with national business, consumer, lifestyle trade publications, as well as mainstream editors, to create and place compelling stories that yield relevant media coverage and content.
▪ Conduct regular media outreach and secure top tier placements across client portfolio.
▪ Continue to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, key stakeholders, clients, media, and influencers.
▪ Mastery of agency tools (e.g., Cision, Muckrack), emerging social media platforms, understanding of influencer marketing, earned and paid media approach.
▪ Communicate clear, progressive direction to junior staff. Day-to-day direction of junior-level team members in a timely manner including but not limited to:
o Delegation of client deliverables
o Performance Management
o Foster a culture of delivering formal and informal feedback.
o Positive coaching
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
▪ Identify and continuously seek opportunities for new and incremental business.
▪ Play an active role in the development of client presentations, new business opportunities and the entire process; collaborate and liaise with design and internal account teams.
▪ Coordinate new business opportunities for team/agency as appropriate by providing research information, preparation of materials and draft/format documents.
▪ Leverage network of contacts for a competitive client advantage, new business opportunities, and talent attraction for agency.

FINANCIAL & AGENCY OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
▪ Maintain compliance with the agency’s daily time entry process, expense report policy, and all agency processes and procedures.
▪ Enter time daily and effectively utilize time tracking system.
▪ Meet utilization goals, manage-up and communicate under/over utilization to direct supervisor.
▪ Verify billing accuracy; process and monitor invoices and PO’s, flagging any accounts payable issues to direct supervisor.
▪ Help to oversee budget development process from creation to reconciliation, staffing plans, fee estimates, and all account related financial matters.
WORKPLACE TYPE:
H&S operates as a hybrid, in-office/remote organization. All employees residing in the New York City area must be open and flexible to working from the H&S NYC office a minimum of three (3) days per week.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
▪ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; five to seven (5-7) years relevant work experience; agency experience preferred.
▪ Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
▪ Highly proficient with all relevant software programs- in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
▪ Highly developed presentation skills and delivery skills; design and presentation abilities (e.g.,PowerPoint, Keynote and Adobe Suite), a plus.
▪ Thrives in fast-paced environments and can work long and flexible hours; may potentially include working evenings, holidays, and weekends.
▪ Travel may be required as needed for client work.
