La DoubleJ is seeking an energetic, digital-first communications intern to join its New York office this Fall semester. This is an unpaid internship; the candidate must be eligible for School Credit.
This resourceful, collaborative individual will be assisting the Senior Director of Communications in all PR/comms efforts for the US and UK Markets, including digital PR, social media and influencer marketing, VIP/celebrity outreach, events, and traditional PR.
As a valuable member of our team, this digitally-savvy person will have a positive attitude and bring in new ideas to La DoubleJ as its community expands. Previous experience in Fashion PR is preferred, but we welcome all hard-working, curious candidates with a strong desire to learn and grow! A love of the product and La DoubleJ ethos is a must.
- Bring spirit, ideas, and irreverent thinking to a dynamic brand intent on breaking rules and building a joyful community of women
- Participate in executing PR, comms, event, and activation programs in the US and UK markets
- Maintain and grow the social media/influencer and VIP/celebrity stylist network for the brand
- Assist with seasonal influencer gifting campaigns and deliver reporting on impact and ROI on placements
- Assist with special events (location scouting, list building, RSVP, dressing, etc.)
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis
- Maintain a press archive

- Highly organized, the intern should have strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Understanding of the digital landscape including social media and influencer marketing best practices
- Proactive mindset and ability to work independently, think creatively and strategically in a fast-paced environment
- English language native, proficiency in Italian a plus, but not essential
- The candidate should have excellent overall writing and presentation skills, with an interest in fashion, culture, design, women’s empowerment, and wellness
