Account Executives are assigned specific clients based on their experience or area of expertise. They craft releases, coordinate with media/influencers, and create and implement the overall communication plan. Essentially, they aim to generate a buzz around their clients and promote the positive image of the company or individual they are representing across different media outlets, including print, online and broadcast media channels.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manages day-to-day communications with client
- Writes press releases
- Pitches to local and national media
- Manages media relations
- Monitors media coverage
- Brainstorms creative ideas for clients
- Creates quarterly client plans
- Arranges interviews + editorial meetings with key journalists and spokespeople
- Attends client events when applicable
- Schedules media + influencers experiences
- Sends clip emails to client
- Degree in PR, marketing, communications, business, or English
- Ideally, 2-3 years of job experience preferably at a PR agency or in journalism, marketing, event production, communications, etc.
- Must be based in South Florida
- Possess creative ability and strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to plan effectively, multi-task and prioritize
- Possess good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Cision
- Confident in public speaking and presentationsProactive and professional
- Bi-lingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus
