KLG Public Relations is hiring an Account Manager to join its growing PR team.
The role requires account management including but not limited to proactive and reactive media relations; strategy development, budget management, client service, creative writing (press releases, media alerts) and creative brainstorming.
Responsibilities:
- Proactive and reactive media pitching to consumer and trade press
- Ambitious self-starter and multitasker with strong media contacts across wine, spirits and lifestyle media on behalf of KLG PR’s portfolio of high-profile brands
- Successfully pitch stories, meet with and manage media to deliver high-quality results
- Lead creative brainstorming sessions and brand strategySeek out creative ideas and opportunities to identify and cultivate story ideas for media pitching
- Follow industry and client category trends and regularly share insights, thoughts and key findings particularly as it relates to competitors
- Create key assets for accounts including press releases, fact sheets, biographies, messaging, media alerts, agendas and recaps
- Manage juniors and multiple clients while meeting various deadlines
- Ideal candidate should be entrepreneurial in nature
- 4-6 years of PR experience including at least two years in the wine & spirits industry
- WSET certification is a plus!
- The position is NYC or LA based with a HYBRID schedule
