Push the Envelope PR is seeking a dynamic professional to join the growing team as an Account Executive. We are looking for a highly skilled mid-to-senior level candidate with that will bring value to our team and to our clients by professionally consulting, educating, mentoring and delivering campaign goals.Responsibilities:This role will report directly to their Account Supervisor
● Cultivate strong relationships with relevant media and generate media opportunities for multiple clients
● Secure and place earned media coverage (product placements and features) in print, digital, broadcast, awards and podcast
● Secure feature opportunities and speaking engagements for founders
● Manage daily client communication via email, phone and/or Zoom video
● Understand the media landscape and proactively identify timely, relevant and trending conversations to position and pitch your brands, founders and products/services
● Craft multiple pitches and press releases and conduct outreach
● Oversee, review and edit junior team members’ pitches, media lists, bi-weekly and monthly activity reports, call agendas/recaps and emails to ensure there are no grammatical errors/mistakes and that all talking points and information are accounted for
● Ensure all documents are client-ready for Supervisor’s review
● Share client deliverables without any typos, errors and within the assigned deadlines
● Conduct ongoing research to compile succinct and targeted media lists
● Conceptualize and contribute new and impactful ideas to the Supervisor to incorporate into upcoming PR plans and strategies
● Conduct competitive analysis and research to increase results for clients and the agency
● Secure, facilitate and execute in-person and virtual desk sides with the media
● Bachelor’s Degree in related field (e.g. Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Journalism & Media Studies)
● Minimum 2-3 years of related PR and agency experience working with CPG brands (fashion, beauty & lifestyle markets preferred)
● Must have experience generating earned media press coverage (portfolio or examples of press clips will be requested throughout the interview process)
● Must be confident on the phone, in-person and/or via Zoom video to make media introductions and facilitate interviews for brand founders
● Strong knowledge of the media industry
● Creative storyteller to craft compelling pitches
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Proactive team player
● Multitasker who is adaptable and can pivot as necessary while meeting deadlines
● Enthusiasm and passion for all things media, branding and consumer markets including but not limited to fashion, beauty, grooming, lifestyle, home, wellness, food & beverage, and CBD.
● Highly resourceful and solution-based thinker with the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment
● Proficient in Cision, Muckrack, Microsoft Office, Canva, Google Slides, Sheets, Docs, Dropbox, Slack, Zoom
