We are looking to hire an Account Supervisor for our Sustainability & Corporate Communications team who will be instrumental in taking ownership of accounts and implementing PR strategies across a portfolio of clients within sustainability, fashion and technology.    

We are looking for energetic, proactive, positive candidates with strong media relations skills, excellent established editorial contacts, and passion for sustainability and innovation. Our agency offers a unique environment that fosters individual growth and encourages proactive teamwork.  

Key Responsibilities: 

- Manage daily workflow of a minimum of 4-5 accounts while driving consistent media results: report status of accounts to Senior Director and/or Managing Director on the accounts

- Develop, review and approve agendas, press releases, pitches, recaps, reports, and other materials

- Serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate; address client issues thoughtfully and effectively

- Develop and execute effective press strategies, which support the brands, innovations, and category launches, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines

- Have your finger on the pulse on industry news, identifying new coverage opportunities and story angles throughout the year  

- Working cohesively with relevant departments across integrated strategies

- Manage client expectations and assist clients in maximizing relationship with BPCM

- Maintain and cultivate relationships with influential members of the media to ensure placements

- Execute and advise on PR strategies and collaboratively develop strategic media plans

- Provide guidance and leadership/mentorship to junior-level staff on team issues, account workflow and general account management

- Participate in the development of materials for new business opportunities including timelines, proposals, business decks and case studies; assist in generating new business leads.

- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients

- Passionate about championing inclusive, diverse perspectives in storytelling 

Requirements:

The Account Supervisor must have at least 6 years of relevant experience in public relations, and a proven track record of strong/established editorial relationships, securing top-tier press placements, building press strategies and messaging, developing creative story angles, and managing a team. You will function as the daily client contact and manage a portfolio of biotechnology, NGO, and material science accounts alongside senior team members.
