Head & Hand PR is seeking a part-time freelance PR professional to work in lockstep with our leadership team while the company’s VP is on maternity leave from mid-March to mid-July. Ideally, the candidate will start by mid-February. This position is ideal for someone ready to step right in (max. 2 days a week) and join our creative, hardworking team to help build communication strategies and oversee client communications and press-facing materials for a range of notable clients in the design, art, and real estate industries. We offer a hybrid NYC office or a fully-remote work schedule for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Help oversee the media strategies, client programming, and events for Head & Hand PR’s full client list via weekly meetings with our three in-house PR Directors and in conjunction with our leadership team
- Provide final review (and editing) of key press-facing materials as needed
- Provide strategic counsel, creative insight, content development, and oversight of all Head & Hand PR channels, including internal brand newsletters and social postings.
- Develop, write and manage communications internally as needed with the leadership team
- Help unite employees, build camaraderie, and foster collaboration internally
- A minimum of 8 years of PR experience representing clients in the luxury design, art, or real estate industries
- An action-oriented leader who can think and act both strategically and tactically to execute projects across multi-client, multi-channel platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; copywriting experience is a plus
- Innovative thinker with a can-do, solutions-oriented approach required
- Experience with social media influencer engagement, content campaigns, media coverage amplification, and event planning and execution
- Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching a team of communications specialists
- Experience with Cision/Muck Rack or similar, Canva, and Google Suites
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field is a plus
