Public relations firm specializing in visual arts, architecture, and design seeks a full-time Account Coordinator to work in its Visual Arts division.

Looking for an experienced, extremely well-organized, and detail-oriented public relations professional. The applicant must be able to multi-task and have the ability to take initiative and help problem-solve. They must be media savvy, have an impeccable phone manner, experience working in a team, and the ability to prioritize and take direction.

Candidate must be knowledgeable about contemporary art, have outstanding writing skills, be active and proficient in social media, and have polished interpersonal and verbal skills. The ability to multi-task and work effectively in a small team environment is essential.

The Account Coordinator will directly support an Account Manager and Account Director, and be responsible for multiple clients and participate in all aspects of PR programming. Experience or background in contemporary art is essential, and at least one year of PR experience is preferred. Candidate must be well-organized and detail-oriented, think creatively and quickly, have the ability to adapt to different kinds of clients and contexts, and be comfortable in social environments.

Salary commensurate with experience, and benefits include full health care coverage (including vision and dental), three weeks paid vacation, and a bonus plan.

Responsibilities:

- Creating and executing strategic communication plans/timelines

- Assisting as day-to-day contact for clients

- Fielding media inquiries and arranging client interviews

- Helping to develop PR strategies for projects

- Compiling and reviewing targeted media lists

- Actively pitching media outlets

- Developing and editing press materials including press releases, pitch letters, media alerts, fact sheets, images, talking points, and presentations

- Planning special events, such as press previews and press trips

- Reviewing agendas and media updates for bi-weekly client calls

- Compiling weekly client media reports and sending

- Implementing social media strategies for clients

- Database supervision

- Representing Blue Medium at design world events

- Managing a team intern

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, or Art History

- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills

- An energetic team player and self-starter

- Ability to multitask and prioritize

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, AirTable, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

- Solid understanding of social media tools and channels

- Knowledge of publications covering visual arts, design, lifestyle and culture

- Availability to attend client events after hours as required

- Willingness to work both from our office and from home (hybrid).
