DESCRIPTION:

BPCM NYC seeks bright, motivated individuals with strong multi-tasking abilities for Spring internship opportunities beginning ASAP, Fashion Week (Beauty) and Summer Interns. BPCM represents a full range of luxury menswear, womenswear and accessories clients as well as beauty clients. Our interns help the PR teams across all accounts.

BPCM’s internship program is a great way to gain real hands on experience and professional exposure to the fashion business and community. The internship program is designed to provide motivated and interested students with knowledge of our industry. Our goal is to provide our interns with a meaningful, educational and fun experience.

Your responsibilities during your internship will include (but are not limited to):

Trafficking samples, creating press clips, showroom organization, assisting with events, updating FashionGPS, assisting with press previews and press lists, assisting PR teams on projects, and requests

Candidates will also be involved in special projects and programming during their internship.Special projects and programming include (but are not limited to):

  • Seminars including PR 101, how to do an event, and resume building.
  • Projects include creating a masthead, assisting during Fashion Week, creating a pitch, planning a client event and more

If accepted, candidates will have a chance to work with brands like: ALDO, Lee Savage, SUNO, Alexandre Vauthier, Wes Gordon, Belstaff, Bespoken, Turnbull & Asser and more.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Candidates should have a strong interest in fashion and culture.
  • The ideal intern is computer savvy, informed about news and has the ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment.
  • The candidate must have strong communication and writing skills and must be comfortable dealing with all levels of staff and clients.
  • Previous PR/Marketing internships preferred.

To qualify for our internship program you must:

  • Be available a minimum of 3 days a week
  • Be available for a 13 week commitment
  • Must be enrolled as a full time student (minimum 9 units/credits per semester) or be a recent college graduate (within one year)
  • Fashion Week interns are expected to commit to interning January 25 – February 19  
  • Must have verification of college enrollment or graduation record

Our internships are unpaid, however you may apply for college credit

Additional skills:

  • Exceptional computer, written and verbal communication skills (MS office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook experience preferred - knowledge of FashionGPS a plus).
  • Pursuing a degree in PR, Communications, Fashion or Marketing are encouraged to apply.
