The Beauty and Lifestyle Publicist will lead the IHC PR team on Beauty, Wellness, Fashion, Lifestyle, and Hospitality accounts. The individual will be a self-starter as well as a team player with the ability to lead and motivate others. The right candidate will have strong industry knowledge, proven media contacts, and relationships within the Beauty and Lifestyle industry. They must have a vital understanding of the landscape and experience in influencer marketing. This role will require the right person to be dialed in on the most current, culturally relevant people, events, brands, and more. They must have experience strategizing and implementing integrated PR campaigns covering earned media, events, programming, and influencer marketing.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Strong understanding of the client's image, ideals, and goals to develop, lead and manage clients through seasonal strategy, product, and special project pitches

- Work closely with clients to execute compelling PR programs that drive brand awareness and generate sales.

- Write and produce high-impact and innovative press materials, including press kits, releases, and pitches curated for the publication and client.

- Proactively pitch long lead, short lead, and digital media to secure media coverage, features, and news items.

- Possess a knowledge of the podcast landscape to book opportunities for brands and founders

- Understand the broadcast media landscape and have relationships with local and national producers and bookers to secure story inclusion for brands

- Assist in the drafting of PR materials and secure sign-off by the Vice President

- Compile monthly status reports that include brands' progress comparing each month's performances

-  Pitch and manage accounts and execute profile stories and editorial coverage

- Work with the IHC team to assist in talent and influencer relationships and agreements.

- Maintains strong international media relationships with the ability to pitch stories for their client

- Act as a liaison for IHC Agency to maintain and champion relationships with print & online editors and industry leaders

- Develop and execute feature stories, market and product placement, editorial reporting, and analysis

- Manage press converge and media relations for clients

- Manage talent dressing and placements with influencers

- Partner with the IHC events team to ensure all elements run smoothly based on brand visionand deliverables, including influencer lunches and dinner events

- Continually researching and updating oneself on current and relevant news within the Beauty and Lifestyle sectors.

- Support the account leads on client deliverables, including briefing documents and press reports

- Manage and guide junior staff or interns

Requirements:

- Minimum 4-6 years of PR experience handling beauty, luxury and lifestyle brands

- Outstanding interpersonal communication and writing skills

- Strong editorial relationships and network

- Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines

- Perform in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure

- Generates innovative and exciting ideas for client pitching

- Sets goals, monitors and reviews plans, and prioritize tasks effectively

- Strong work ethic

- Accomplishes tasks accurately and thoroughly with strong follow-up skills

- Takes ownership of specific projects without supervision

- Lead accounts with integrity and strong work ethic, being mindful of deadlines and planning ahead

- Exceptional problem-resolution skills, including the ability to think creatively and outside the box

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Articulates ideas and directives clearly and can present to team management and clients

- A track record of success overseeing integrated campaigns

- Superior high-level media contacts across print and online media within the beauty and lifestyle industries

- Ability to work in a team environment and actively engage both colleagues and clients in open communication

- The candidate will need to provide two letters of reference, examples of past pitches, writing samples, and share past landed press.

- National agency experience required.

- Background managing and leading 3-4 accounts at a time
