Description:

The position requires 4-6 years of experience directly managing social media accounts in the consumer/lifestyle industry (agency setting preferred), complemented by sharp client relations and leadership skills. Account Managers are responsible for achieving and maintaining client satisfaction. You have a deep interest in and passion for the ever-evolving digital and social media landscape, keeping a keen and strategic eye on emerging trends and platforms, and how af&co. can best leverage them as part of our clients’ promotional strategy. You possess a growth mindset with a deep passion for the hospitality industry including: restaurants, hotels, travel and food. Continuously learning about social media marketing, brand strategy, influencer marketing and public relations will be key to success in this role. This position required San Francisco/Bay Area residency.

Responsibilities:

Client Services

- Trusted advisor and central point of communication for six to eight clients

- Accountable for the health and growth of client relationships as a client lead

- Facilitates monthly and bi-weekly meetings with eloquence, effectively communicating the shared action items between the client and agency

- Builds confidence with the client that strategic solutions, project details, process steps, deliverables are thoughtful, well organized, communicated and managed

- Ensures all deliverables are creative, of the highest quality and relevant to the client’s business objectives and goals

- Communicates in a clear and compelling manner in written, verbal and presentation forms

- Drives timelines and account results effectively using internal project team meetings (kick-off, status, etc.) as appropriate.

Social Media Marketing & Digital Marketing

Social Media Marketing and Management (approximately 40% of time)

- Brings demonstrated expertise and a strong understanding of social media marketing tactics, both paid and organic to the agency and its clients

- Develops and executes quarterly social media strategy plans for clients

- Works with clients to create achievable KPIs based on business goals and actively tracks against those metrics

- Provides updates and recommendations as needed

- Manages and publishes content and executes social media campaigns for all platforms, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn

- Collaborates with account teams to execute high-quality and curated social media content

- Routinely analyzes the performance of each digital and social campaign, utilizing findings to make informed strategic or tactical recommendations

- Develops and executes a community engagement and growth strategy that is grounded in understanding our clients’ brand, target audience and business objectives

- Leads effective use of internal tools such as SproutSocial, ensuring teams are utilizing them to their maximum benefit

Facebook Business Manager (approximately 30% of time)

- Responsible for onboarding new social media clients, whether its creating new social media accounts or integrating existing ones under the agency’s Facebook Business Manager

- Conducts a social media audit on new accounts to develop baseline KPIs to track against

- Initiates and maintains full-funnel paid social media campaigns through expert knowledge of Facebook Business Manager with an allocated budget and in accordance with client goals

- Devises audience targeting and persona segmentation for ad campaigns through Facebook Business Manager

Influencer Marketing Support (approximately 10% of time)

- Leverages influencer and content creator content for paid and organic social media strategy to amplify client initiatives and achieve client goals

- Supports execution and coordination for client influencer visits and advises on content deliverables

- Communicates ROI of influencer campaigns to clients

- Develops strategy for paid influencer partnerships as requested by clients

Knowledge Sharing and Best Practice Development (approximately 5% of time)

- Stays up-to-date with emerging social media and digital marketing trends, regularly sharing knowledge and development of best practices with the agency and account teams

- Proactively suggests emerging digital and social media platforms, tool and tactics, implementing strategies based on relevance to the client and account goals

Content Creation (5%)

- Responsible for creating social media content on behalf of af&co. clients. Social media content includes photography, “snackable” video clips, Instagram Stories and Reels.

- Expertly uses social media scheduling and reporting tools, such as Sprout Social

- Familiarity with content creation tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, InShot and Splice, is a plus

- Familiarity with taking curated, high-quality photos and videos fitting for a client’s brand using a DSLR or iPhone, is a plus

- Familiarity using Adobe Lightroom or preferred photo and video editing apps to create curated and consistent social media feeds

- Familiarity with influencer marketing tools, such as Klear, is a plus

- Familiarity with post-production video editing tools, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, is a plus
