Description:

A fast-growing, Los Angeles-based Communications, PR, and Marketing firm seeks an Account Coordinator to work on interior design, architecture firms and home design and furnishings brands. The firm specializes in marketing and communications strategies for the design, lifestyle and luxury industries.

The firm is looking for an Account Coordinator to support the firm’s current client roster. The candidate must have a self-starter attitude, a desire to grow and learn about the public relations industry and a strong interest in architecture, interiors, and design.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Execute communication strategies and conduct press outreach to appropriately position a range home, interior design and architecture brands in the marketplace

- Secure top-tier media opportunities, including press coverage in home, interior design, lifestyle, and consumer outlets; speaking engagements; sponsorship opportunities; award submissions

- Coordinate logistics for targeted press events to support seasonal launches, collections, and other brand introductions

- Interface with clients as relevant to press opportunities, event logistics, media monitoring etc.

- Contribute to story angle development, press release writing, daily product placement, and media tracking

- Execute day-to-day account tasks including clipping, meeting/call planning, manage contact lists, develop agendas, etc.

- Track social media activities for our clients

- Monitor relevant media outlets for client placements and industry news

- Provide updates on client status regularly

- Generate reports for our clients

Requirements:

- Entry level position. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism

- Minimum (1) one to (2) two years' experience on either the agency or client side, working with design clients. Internships count!

- Strong interest in architecture, interiors and the design industry

- Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently

- Need strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure

- Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and verbal and written communications skills

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), MuckRack, Googl Cision and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, twitter, etc.)
