Factory PR seeks a Director of VIP and Celebrity Services in the Los Angeles office. The candidate should be culturally connected and have a genuine passion for the Entertainment and Fashion fields. This position reports to VP Fashion in New York. This candidate must be a self-motivated creative thinker and obsessive networker.

Responsibilities:

- Be the face of Factory on the west coast as the most senior member of the office

- Nurture relationships with an ever evolving list of top stylists, editors, producers and influencers

- Deliver VIP services for clients including developing strategy and KPIs, loaning, seeding, placement and event attendance with brand-relevant talent

- Conceptualize and execute events for influencers, stylists and talent including guest list development, wrangling, FOH responsibilities and press placement

- Manage the contracting process for paid opportunities with talent and influencers including securing and negotiating fees

- Manage the LA-based office and team, acting as a mentor by stimulating team members’ professional growth and creating an environment of success

- Be deeply tapped in to emerging talent from traditional industries as well as social platforms

- Contribute to the company’s development and profitability in the LA market by participating in business development initiatives

- Ensure the LA office remains aligned with wider agency processes

- Conduct clear and frequent communication with the team of NY-based Directors

- Report to Company leadership on a weekly basis

Requirements:

- Minimum 6-8 years experience working in communications agencies

- Effective leadership qualities and proactive/positive attitude

- Interest in growing the team and company by leading West Coast agency development with an entrepreneurial spirit

- Excellent relationships with stylist and relevant contacts in entertainment, influencer, fashion, music, culture/art, tech/innovation and lifestyle industries

- Superior knowledge of fashion/consumer media practices

- Strategic thinker who can bring fresh and innovative ideas to the team and implement strategies to bring these ideas to life

- Solid experience in event planning with big brands/big budgets

- Experience in supervising/mentoring junior staff is required

- Strong writing, communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, agency principals and colleagues

- High level of interest and proficiency in New Media landscape, and experience with outlets including social platforms, communities and networks

- The ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline oriented, high-energy environment with a consistent CAN DO attitude!
