We are looking for an expert in the food & beverage space to join our rapidly growing spirits team in the role of Senior PR Manager. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves the exciting pace of agency life, is a voracious reader whose curiosity never subsides, and who is equal parts left brain and right. Note: This position can be based in our DC or NYC Office as our team has returned to a flexible hybrid schedule.

A PR pro with 6+ years of agency experience developing and executing public relations strategies for spirits and/or beer/wine/beverage brands.

A proven and poised leader who can manage a portfolio of high-profile accounts

Able to cultivate strong client relationships

A self starter who is proactive, reliable, and resourceful with the ability to independently manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously

You Will:

Collaborate with senior leadership to develop creative and strategic ideas/campaigns and supporting communications for portfolio of spirits clients

Lead client programs from concept development through execution and post-campaign evaluation of results

Develop strong relationships with clients, and serve as day-to-day client contact

Actively engage and counsel clients to help achieve strategic business objectives

Maintain strong media relationships and proactively identify, create, pitch and follow up on media opportunities to garner national and regional earned media coverage

Work collaboratively across departments

Create communications materials including brand strategies, press releases, media messages and analysis

Stay on top of industry trends trends and position the team as experts in the field

Prepare spokespeople for media interviews through the development of messaging, talking points, and media training

Manage direct reports, including mentoring, consistently providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews

Requirements:

6+ years of agency experience implementing strategy and execution on PR campaigns for brands in the beverage and/or spirits space (experience in crisis PR a plus)

Ability to provide essential support for press initiatives including media and client management, and strategy development

Experience presenting strategies and plans to executives

Experience managing direct reports

Active relationships with national consumer lifestyle, spirits and food/bev media

Confident communication and presentation skills

Excellent organizational and planning skills with a strong eye for detail
