Director of Influencer Marketing serves as the leader of their group of clients and is responsible for partnering with their EVP on development of client plans and the management of their staff. Their essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serve as a resource for their clients in the areas of all forms of influencer marketing including developing digital-first strategies, providing counsel, developing plans on an ongoing basis and leading plan execution; partnering closely with their VP on any key strategic decisions
Directly supervise the internal client team, overseeing all of their internal work, influencer negotiations and contracting while supporting their career development through mentorship and training
Provide on-the-ground support at key moments for their client, including at events and activations
Directly manage any high-profile relationships with top-tier influencers and celebrity partners
Partner with and support on new/incremental business opportunities
Ensure account goals are being met, deliverables executed and client relationships remain positive
Work closely with integrated teams to create measurement plans, goals and KPI’s, and deliver regular analysis on brands
Strategically identify talent and influencers for campaigns that improve ROI and achieve campaign KPIs
Support VP in growth projects, goals, and new client acquisition
Oversee financial metrics for team, including budgeting, servicing and expenses; responsible for cascading financial literacy to staff
Keep current on client audience, competitors, market and trends to ensure the development comprehensive digital strategies across channels; flag any potential risk/opportunities to Vice President and/or Client as necessary
Strive for impeccable client service personally, and by driving the team to meet and exceed agency’s standards and client expectations
Act as a critical expert for the agency in all things digital/social and drive best practices and learning
Salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000 depending on experience
Bachelors degree required
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in influencer relations; previous experience working at a public relations agency strongly preferred
A proven track record of executing large-scale influencer programs as well as a rolodex of top tier influencer contacts
Previous experience managing high profile events, partnerships and activations
Previous experience conceptualizing and producing content
A deep understanding of the digital / social media landscape, including any emerging platforms/technologies
Demonstrated track record of building strong client relationships and delivering programs that exceeded anticipated results
Ability to successfully manage teams to exceed client expectations
Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and others
Strong understanding of traditional public relations to ensure campaigns will maximize impact versus cannibalize efforts
