At The Brand Guild, we craft the stories and evolve the brands of some of the country’s favorite growth-minded brands like Sweetgreen, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, The Bouqs, and Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey. We are an integrated agency that deeply values research as an underpinning to all client projects and we are looking for a driven Research & Insights Manager to drive strategies and planning for clients.
Our Brand Strategy Team assesses what our clients need to establish and amplify their brands — then we develop strategies and tactics like competitor research, trend reports, roadmaps & editorial calendars, branding projects, campaigns, and other tactics to meet those goals, often collaborating with other departments. The Research & Insights Manager will work closely with the Senior Director of Strategy on the Brand Strategy Team to help grow our agency’s research capabilities, as well as to employ research and analysis tactics for strategy and planning initiatives for our clients and prospective clients.

You Will:
- See “behind the scenes” of national consumer brands, as well as impact the growth of an innovative full-service agency as we build a research and capabilities practice inside a new team
- Lead research for a diverse range of clients across sectors
- Help to grow a research discipline inside a rapidly scaling agency
- Utilize research tools (like Talkwalker, GWI, Helixa, Muck Rack, etc.) to provide quantitative and qualitative insights to help develop robust, holistic strategies
- Diagnose which type of research or deliverable can address unique client needs
- Execute research and analysis for brands, their competitors, and their consumers on both micro and macro levels for use in client projects, new business proposals, and agency thought leadership
- Compile and analyze market research and data to inform branding projects, trend reports, and proposals
- Synthesize research into larger trends and themes that The Brand Guild and our clients can act on for growth and success
- Help measure our clients’ and our team’s success (such as through share of voice, brand lift studies, etc.)
- An enthusiastic attitude and passion for collaborating across teams and with clients
- Demonstrable research and analytical skills and experience
- Experience with research tools, especially those that measure share of voice, social listening, media monitoring, search volume, audience personas, and more
- Experience with surveys, focus groups, and other primary research tactics
- An understanding of brand positioning, customer journeys, and user experience
- Excellent writing and editing skills, including conscientious attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Project management skills that allow management of multiple projects at once, including evolving timelines and priorities
