At The Brand Guild, a public relations, marketing, creative and events agency, we craft and tell the stories of some of the nation’s top purpose-driven brands, such as Sweetgreen, The Bouqs, Room and Board and Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey. We are a fully integrated team that specializes in brand evolution and we are looking for a PR Associate with 2+ years of experience to join our growing F&B, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) team in our New York Office.

While The Brand Guild team is currently working remotely, this position will be based in our NYC office.

Job Responsibilities:

Research & Account Support

Assist in the development and execution of strategic PR campaigns

Participate in client calls and meetings as well as agency brainstorms

Become an expert and brand champion of our clients: including performing in-depth research to support our plans and recommendations, and learning about them from both the client and consumer perspective

Become a student of the industry: follow industry and client category trends and regularly share insights, thoughts and key findings

Be a team player: provide administrative support for the team on all relevant projects, including media list maintenance, meeting agendas/notes, budgets and reporting

Media Relations

Learn the media landscape: ensure ongoing monitoring of editorial calendars in relevant outlets, learn who the players are, and follow their work

Tell a great story: use the above to develop compelling pitches, press releases and media materials (messaging documents, coverage reports, etc.)

Make friends and be a reporter resource: conduct proactive media outreach with a focus on developing reporter relationships

Analysis

See the big picture: monitor, measure, analyze and report on communications campaigns and projects

Learn from your work: build upon each client win and/or challenge to become a key team player that can take on increasing responsibility

Requirements:

2-4 years of public relations experience--agency experience strongly preferred

Experience working with clients in CPG is preferred, F&B is a must

Must be proactive, reliable, resourceful and have a great attention to detail

AbIlity to independently manage multiple projects and clients and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Ability to provide essential team support including strategic thinking, research and writing

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Understanding of media needs and media relationships

Ability to work with all levels on the team, from interns to senior staff
