Description:

Daly is looking for a hardworking, strategic, and detail-oriented PR Manager with account management experience, strong business and tech media contacts, and expert interpersonal skills to join our culture-forward communications and marketing consultancy. 🌟

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious self-starter with experience managing, ideating, and executing PR campaigns for both launches and ongoing accounts, and have a proven track record of booking national media in a range of genres. ✨

The PR Manager will be responsible for the following Essential Functions:

Client Management & Support 🤝

Lead a selection of Comms client accounts, with a high level of accountability and minimal managerial oversight at Daly-level quality and expectations. This will include leading all meetings and calls; managing client correspondence, developing and executing media strategy, developing core pitches, and pitching, with support on note taking and research from a designated Client Support. 

Serve as Client Support on a range of Comms and Marketing accounts, including participating and taking notes for meetings and calls; pitching press across digital, print and broadcast outlets; contributing creative ideas around strategy and pivots, and problem solving; and corresponding with clients directly, where indicated. 

Exhibit strong project management skills through clear written and verbal communication with their designated client support, clear communication with and accountability to their manager, and robust use and upkeep of Daly’s project management tools.

Offer ad-hoc support across all Daly clients, including remaining aware of all initiatives and projects, and inquiring about clients and projects where needed.

Media Relations 🗣

Maintain and grow key press contacts—particularly in the business, lifestyle, and tech communities—through frequent communication online and offline. 

Utilize press relationships across print, digital and broadcast outlets, with a focus on features and high-priority pitching. 

Regularly seek out opportunities for virtual networking, skills development, and/or relevant training that could amplify the candidate’s own and Daly’s general media relations and press efforts. 

Keep a finger on the pulse of media trends and announcements. 

Writing ✍️

Draft concise press pitches that journalists actually want to read! 

Support on drafting & editing client materials including strategies, messaging, op-eds, pitches, and marketing materials as needed. 

Support on drafting and editing press and thought leadership story angles for New Business proposals.

Requirements:

Candidates are required to have the following:

Relevant job experience of 4+ years in PR or Communications—either in-house, or at an agency

Past PR account management skills are a must. 

Strong, proven press relationships with business and tech media are a must. 

Strong writing skills, with experience in crafting persuasive pitches and descriptive copy.

Strong organization and research skills. 

Expertise in G-Suite, including Drive, Mail, Sheets, and Docs. 

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent certification.
