The US PR team are now seeking a talented PR Manager to join the team based in our offices in New York. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, US, you will promote the MR PORTER brand and its campaigns, activities and events, developing and maintaining relationships with key media across the US.

You Will:

In partnership with the Head of Marketing and Communications, develop a PR strategy for the US market and drive implementation while demonstrating impactful results

Provide strategic and tactical support to the Head of PR in the effective function of the in-house PR team, managing the PR assistant while ensuring the execution of PR in the US and Canada

Develop and execute earned media plans and secure brand building coverage for multiple seasonal campaign and capsule launches, events and on-site categories such as MRP own label, fine watches, exclusive capsules and the MR PORTER brand

Increase profiles of brand and spokespeople in the US by identifying opportunities across media outlets, conferences, and industry events. Oversee and implement the agreed approach with the regional and global teams

In line with strategy, come up with creative ways to tell the MR PORTER story, celebrating campaigns, events and the profiles of its executives, via relevant media in the region

Manage brand events across the region, working with the MR PORTER marketing, creative, social media teams and local production agencies

Work closely with the marketing team to conceive and execute other special projects and product launches, optimizing owned and earned channels

In partnership with the marketing and social counterparts, own and manage regional social creator partnerships

Compile interview briefings for spokespeople in the business and written responses for features and news stories

Work closely with the Buying Director and Style Director to ensure that brand messaging is supported by the most compelling insight

Maintain relationships with relevant journalists and media across the US

Provide coverage targets (by month and by project) for the PR Assistant to work against

Monitor MR PORTER brand exposure, ensuring all communication and activity is in line with strategy

Support the Head of PR in the management of the annual PR budget

Requirements:

Graduate (or equivalent) with proven PR experience in a luxury fashion, menswear or multi-brand environment

Minimum 7+ years in a PR role

Strong relationships with fashion and lifestyle media. Experience with watch media is highly preferred

Retail PR experience within key markets in the US is preferable

Exceptional event production experience

Proven track record of creating positive impact on business through PR and communications strategy

Strong presentation & superb writing skills a must

Demonstrate a solid understanding of the luxury fashion industry and digital

Proven commercial experience with working in a fast paced environment

Proven track record of creating a positive impact on business through implementation of a PR strategy

Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent communication skills

Extremely well-organised, methodical and efficient, with a good dose of common sense and initiative

Pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly promote the MR PORTER offering

Creative and strategic thinker

Able to identify communication opportunities across multiple media platforms

Second language ideal, however, not required

Strong MS Word skills; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
