The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures furthers the understanding, celebration, and preservation of cinema through inclusive and accessible exhibitions, screenings, programs, initiatives, and collections. Welcoming visitors from Los Angeles and around the world, the Museum works in active partnership with motion picture artists and specialists, scholars, staff, and diverse communities to contextualize and challenge dominant narratives around cinema, inspiring discourse, connection, joy, and discovery.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Membership and Annual Giving, and working closely with the Specialist, Membership, your primary responsibilities will involve providing customer service and fielding questions from members and donors. As the Sr. Coordinator, Membership, you will provide a wide variety of sales, customer service, administrative, and clerical support to the museum's Membership program. You will also coordinate the day-to-day functions of the department while collaborating with partner departments.
You Will:
-Maintain and create member records in CRM. Sell and renew memberships, change addresses, and perform data cleanup.
-Provide customer service for the museum's Membership program. Field and return member's phone calls and emails, and track event registrations.
-Oversee problem payments and upgrades.
-Coordinate with external vendors for member acknowledgment.
-Build relationships with members, striving to make meaningful connections through friendly conversations and a spirit of generosity. Embrace a concierge-like approach to customer service by going above and beyond to make members and visitors feel special and valued.
-Address member concerns in an informative and friendly manner and provide efficient, prompt, and accurate customer service to routine and moderately complex inquiries regarding membership accounts and ticketing transactions.
-Work with data processing staff to troubleshoot membership processing issues.
-Assist in the execution of special events for the Membership program including exhibition-based events, screenings, and monthly programs.
-Address duties with initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail.
-A bachelor’s degree preferred.
-2+ years of related sales or customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred. Working in a museum or other cultural organization is a plus.
-Experience proofreading documents.
-Excellent computer skills; knowledge of a fundraising database.
