DESCRIPTION:

BMF is currently seeking a self-motivated Account Director to join our PR team with extensive experience across the hospitality, spirits, and F&B categories, as well as strong press contacts. Work with accessories brands is a plus.

As part of an integrated, creative marketing agency, the ideal candidate will have an innate desire to network and stay on top of industry news and trends to drive progressive PR strategies, tactics, and programs.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT / CLIENT SERVICE

• Act as lead day-to-day client contact.

• Contribute to / lead client strategies and presentations.

• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with existing and potential clients.

• Ensure that client plans and strategies are being executed efficiently and in a timely manner.

• Maintain and establish relationships with top-tier lifestyle, travel, F&B, entertainment and trade/B2B media outlets.

• Deliver consistent press results in line with client goals surrounding product, venue and key business stakeholders and personalities (CEOs, brand ambassadors, spokespeople, executive chefs, etc.)

TALENT DEVELOPMENT

• Act as mentor to junior staff and interns.

• Delegate tasks and manage accordingly.

NEW BUSINESS

• Participate in new business proposals- work on PR-specific proposals as well as add PR tactics and strategies to fully integrated proposals the agency works on.

• Work with the agency’s experiential and digital practice groups to integrate them into client programs and campaigns, as well as integrate PR into experiential and digital group clients and prospective clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 6-7 years of experience with a lifestyle focused PR agency.

• Ability to oversee multiple accounts, including client relations, and managing support staff, with strong leadership, coaching and communication skills.

• A proven track record of consistently securing quality media placements across accounts.

• Experience developing and overseeing execution of integrated communications plans that align with, and achieve client goals, including launches and maintaining consistent coverage on, products, brands, and venues.

• Have strong problem-solving and people skills.

• Excellent organization.

• Event press experience, specifically with high-profile sponsorships, brand-owned events, stunts, openings, education events and press/influencer FAM trips.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and media monitoring services such as Cision, Meltwater, etc. Experience with Keynote is a plus. Available and eager to attend work and client functions.
