The A List is seeking a highly effective, collaborative and friendly Senior Director of Special Projects andEvents. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing team and make a positive impact within thecompany.
The role is responsible for managing all of the talent campaigns and appearances at The A List. They willalso focus on building and maintaining relationships with talent and industry representatives across allgenres including film, TV, music, sports, and the art world. The person should be an experiencedthought leader in the entertainment and brand space and be able to work on paid initiatives acrossmany categories including but not limited to fashion, beauty, tech, health and wellness.
Roles + Responsibilities
-Lead and manage the Special Projects and Events department
-Work closely with the CEO and Founder to establish a long range vision, goals and priorities forThe A List’s Special Projects and Events strategy
-Oversee day-to-day client management in the Special Projects and Events department
-Oversee both paid and organic talent procurement for all Special Projects and Events
-Broker multi-platform/multi-service short and long term talent partnerships on behalf of clients
-Facilitate contracting for paid partnerships
-Thoughtfully cast talent for special client initiatives and seeding projects, based off client goals:aesthetic, brand awareness, conversion, etc
-Manage special seeding projects targeting high-performing talent who elevate and convert forbrands in markets all over the world
-Assist in creating and managing experiential activations for various brand launches
-Oversee all reporting for various clients including, but not limited to: weekly, monthly and wrapreports— analyzing + summarizing data (calculating total impression #, examining trends,gathering feedback, and sharing insights, etc.)
-Vet all new business calls regarding the Special Projects and Events department and leadcommunications, proposals, agreements and briefs for each project. Evaluate relatedopportunities and determine if they are aligned with the overall business plan and strategy.
-Identify rising talent, pop culture trends, and analyze data within a variety of industries andmarkets to inform client business strategies, existing client objectives and new client acquisition
-Maintain and update The A List’s database with current contacts and establish new industrycontacts across the fashion, lifestyle, tech, wellness and beauty sectors
-Serve as an internal advocate with cross-functional teams and provide support across The A Listincluding but not limited to talent outreach for showroom appointments, ideation for moredigital focused campaigns, and business development strategy
-Liase with the accounting team to manage all invoicing and expenses for the Special Projectsand Events department
-Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing or related field preferred
-7-10 years relevant job experience in the entertainment industry
-Ideal candidate to have preexisting relationships of agent, publicist, manager, and talentcontacts
-Excellent communication and time management skills
-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a quick, fast-paced environment
-Detail oriented and organized
-Must possess superior understanding of existing social media landscape including new andinnovative tools, platforms, vendors, and technologies
-Self-starter approach toward work with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectivesand take on more responsibility
-Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize within a multi-taskingenvironment.
-In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience with Social Media Platforms (Instagram,Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, Pinterest, Blogs etc.), Keynote and Gsuite
