The Press Hook, a tech-enabled public relations company, is seeking a public relations Account Executive -- a mid-level to senior-level role -- for immediate hire.

By streamlining and digitizing the processes of an antiquated industry, we are making the news cycle stronger and more reliable. Our communication platform matches brands with top journalists who are more likely to write about their products and services. Journalists spend less time sifting through irrelevant pitches while diversifying their sources, and brands get the timely earned media coverage they deserve.
The Press Hook unlocks a new marketing channel for the 70 percent of small businesses who need press but don't have the resources for proper media exposure. We are on a mission to help small businesses gain brand awareness in top media publications with our innovative technology-driven solutions.
Duties:
-Strategizing PR campaigns for multiple brands across an industry
-Drafting, editing, and reviewing press materials (press kits, press releases)
-Managing media relations for brands and inquiries from the press
-Creating and revising press releases and pitching to journalists
-Undertaking industry research and generating story ideas and angles
-Developing and maintain relationships with media to secure and grow coverage
-Supporting meetings with clients and potential new business
-Daily media monitoring
-Required education: Bachelor's
-Minimum of 2 years PR agency experience post-college
-Exceptional written and verbal communication
-Excellent knowledge of a certain sector, specifically health & wellness, food & drink, home goods or the travel industry
-Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to identify opportunities for clients
-Ability to communicate clearly and transfer complex information in a concise and clear form
-Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to work well in a startup team
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Motivated to excel in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to maintain a high level of social, organizational and professional standards in job-related activities
