This role will support the Luxury Cluster: Jewelry, Watches, Wine and Handbags.To develop, manage and implement department marketing campaigns to ensure both departmental and corporate objectives and targets are met/exceeded. This will involve the creation of successful and innovative multi-channel marketing campaigns, this is a highly collaborative role partnering with the Creative Studio, Production teams, and external agencies. You will also work closely with Client Insight, Business Intelligence to ensure all campaigns are based on current client data. Marketing campaigns will include the planning of paid media, website promotion, content marketing, CRM, social and other promotions, all of which must drive buying, bidding and registrations for related sales.

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Develop, manage and implement marketing strategy for your assigned department(s), including campaigns for auction, private sales and online 

- Develop the marketing strategy for all sales within the region in consultation with key departmental stakeholders 

- Work with business-getters and the Proposals team to ensure marketing content in client proposals is targeted and achievable and increases ROI (Return on investment) 

- Working with Client Insight and BI, ensure that all activity is based on current client data and that all departmental and other relevant stakeholders are fully briefed and updated on findings 

- Lead the marketing briefing process and produce written briefs for all campaigns. Ensure key messages, marketing objectives and targets are delivered via strategic, effective and creative campaigns 

- Create schedules and ensure delivery of all assets to the assigned departments on time in order to meet deadlines and that these are properly monitored, tracked and delivered 

- When creative plans are agreed, ensure all activity adheres to Christie’s brand guidelines and enhances the positioning of Christie’s within the minds of target clients 

- Manage the approvals process of all items within each campaign ensuring key departmental stakeholders are consulted as required 

- Clearly articulate all feedback to the Creative/Production Team and other departmental stakeholders to manage this flow of communication until the initiative is completed 

- Manage marketing financial processes including raising purchase orders, ensuring marketing activity is within the agreed budget and ensuring supplier invoices are processed as required 

- Manage the assigned departments presence on christies.com, liaising with the Digital, website, Social and Content teams on the content, design, production and delivery of sale promotion, departmental pages, exhibition pages and general departmental overview 

- Ensure marketing copyright is cleared and fees are processed as required 

- Work collaboratively with the Events and other relevant teams to manage key marketing events 

- Manage any post-sale marketing activity and debriefs, agreeing key messages and campaign activity 

Requirements:

- A natural collaborator able to partner effectively with multiple stakeholders 

- Strong Project Management skills 

- Demonstrable experience of managing marketing campaigns within the art or luxury markets

- Ability to manage the successful implementation of complex multi-channel marketing strategies under strict time constraints 

- Previous experience in managing and implementing a broad range of evidence-based global marketing campaigns – from major campaigns including a range of digital media to smaller tactical initiatives 

- Highly organised and highly efficient – demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritise 

- Creativity and innovation – an entrepreneurial approach combined with energy and enthusiasm to create innovative marketing campaigns 

- Good visual literacy and understanding of the principles of branding 

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including superior written and spoken communication and strong attention to detail 

- Strong presentation skills, and ability to articulate the objectives of campaigns and benefits of evidence based and digital Marketing to the entire business 

- Strong analytical skills
