Job Summary
The Video and Motion Graphics Freelancer is responsible for building and enhancing dr.brandt® digital media content by producing and creating video and motion content that builds brand awareness that drives online growth and develops an interactive relationship between the online consumer and the brand. This person will bring a strong knowledge of the creative development processes, experience developing creative solutions, and have a strong production background to produce high-level brand and sales-related content. Projects include long-form advertisements, short form clips/gifs, as well as branded content. Reports to the Director of PR and Social Marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
-Ideate, develop, edit and shoot custom short form videos for multiple social and digital platforms.
-Take creative briefs/rough edits to clear, concise finished videos
-Handle in-house videography requests to successfully execute vision of the brand, as well as development of final creative assets.
-Pre-Production:
--Participate in brainstorming sessions with the team, support your team and give creative feedback
--Manage pre-production scheduling and logistics. Ensure all equipment is usable and ready, products are acquired, vendors and participants are communicated with.
--Provide any necessary storyboards, call sheets, and additional resources that may be needed.
-Content Shooting:
--Oversee all shooting aspects day-of and work with Manager to produce and direct content. Provide creative direction to participants when needed during shooting process.
--Able to come ready with own videography materials.
-Post-Production:
--Handle editing all content using Adobe Creative Suite programs. Videos should have consistent themes and always adhere to brand guidelines.
-Strategy:
--Work with marketing team to develop creative ideas for videos that focus on current campaigns and brand focuses.
--Adhere to a consistent Video calendar for social channels with support from social media coordinator.
-Finalize the graphic layout, appearance, and timing of each piece of content
-Develop visual styles that fit and elevate the brand's core messaging
-Edit visuals and audio to achieve final implementation across channels.
-Understanding and responding to testing metrics and optimization efforts based on performance data to define and continuously improve the direction and execution of creative ideas.
-Effectively and proactively managing your time, deliverables and deadlines with transparency
-Being a positive influence and build team enthusiasm
-2+ years’ experience as a videographer for a brand or production house
-2+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer in an agency or in-house creative department
-1-3 years of related experience managing content for digital platforms.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills with hyper attention to detail
-A portfolio of work which demonstrates your ability to turn raw ideas into beautiful and compelling visual/video/movement content
-Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
-Typographic skills with strong visual capabilities
-Ability to successfully perform in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple assignments and deadlines
-Directing video shoots
-Working knowledge of industry trends
Having own videography equipment is a plus, and will be discussed.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
