We are seeking a passionate and entrepreneurial Corporate Communications Director to join the Hawkins team. This person will be leading account activities at a strategic level for our marquee clients. You will be responsible for providing our clients with counsel and expertise in strategic corporate communications planning, media relations, thought leadership and executive visibility. You will be managing all day-to-day activities for the client and ensure the overall strategic vision, and tactical execution, is in line with the client’s objectives. You will serve as a leader on the team with an expectation to manage client communication, key internal stakeholders and junior team members.

The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in communications as well as experience working with senior executives in a collaborative culture.

  Responsibilities include:

Identify, develop and execute communications and thought leadership strategy for corporate clients.

Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, and speaking proposals. Responsible for Hawkins and Maverick Creative agency PR and annual plan (Jen, the agency, leadership and individuals).

Manage development of strategic documents, including 90/180/360-day plans and year-end client reviews.

Identify and pitch speaking engagements and byline opportunities in related industry areas.

Interview executives to garner content for business/corporate pitch angles and story ideas.

Research business/corporate media coverage and industry trends.

Develop fresh business/corporate story ideas.

Develop media relations strategies, goals, media targets and pitch angles that require minimal input from senior team leadership.

Lead and oversee agency pitch teams and serve as counsel for further development of pitch strategies and approaches.

Anticipate and proactively offer solutions to senior team leadership for executional issues specific to assigned programs.

Develop and manage timelines and weekly actions plans to ensure all deadlines on client programs are met.

Prepare briefing materials.

Conduct media training.

Coordinate conference, trade shows, and press interviews.

Lead and participate in new business pitches and initiatives.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 5 or more years of full-time’ PR agency or relevant in-house experience working on strategic consumer-facing accounts.
