Description:

The Senior Account Executive is a strategic, smart communicator who maintains and continues developing strong relationships with clients, and key influencers in the media and analyst communities. The Senior Account Executive supervises others, runs on-going client programs, (i.e. customer visibility, writing, speaking), projects, launches, events, presentation development, and support one time services (ex. Mes/Pos.)

The Senior Account Executive works with account team leads to manage teams by providing budget reporting, input on client health and team roles/work flow; Additionally SAEs are comfortable delegating work across teams and are expected to manage their team members on multiple projects and initiatives to achieve best results.

The Senior Account Executive mentors team members at the Account Executive and Assistant Account Executive levels through exhibiting leadership and training around problem solving, client service, and program and project management.

Requirements:

- 3.5-7 years public relations, media relations, corporate communications (can be combined)

- 1-2 years project management

- Supervisory skills

Media / Analyst Relations: Drives major media strategies and initiatives; Leads pitches on behalf of client; Able to manage exclusives, cover stories, embargoes, etc.; Able to incorporate social media strategy in recommendations as appropriate; Manages and attends press events;  Has established key media relationships and is always looking to develop new media relationships

Speaking/Awards Program: Able to provide final review  for all speaking/awards submissions; Contribute to high-level message and presentation development; Attend and/or staff conferences on behalf of client

Customer/User Program: Draft and review pitches and case studies; conduct customer/user interviews

Content Creation: Excellent writing and editing skills; Writes and edits materials (Op-eds and contributed articles, executive talking points, major presentations, PR plans, press releases, social content, etc.); Able to provide constructive feedback on written material

Client Knowledge: Understands client and agency business goals, market position, competitive set, and key messages.

Messaging / Positioning: Provides strategic insight and counsel; contributes to high level positioning and message development; when appropriate, participates in positioning and branding sessions

Customer Programs: Oversees the focus and direction of programs; conduct high level customer interviews; crafts customer visibility strategy

Account Management: May manage monthly client budgets/billing; mentor AE and AAE  growth and development; lead programs and initiatives as assigned, also assign roles and delegate work

Agency Roles: Participates in new business process; leads agency trainings; plays a leadership role on OC Taskforces; input in hiring decisions; input on annual reviews;  proactively mentors and provides feedback and constructive suggestions to teams/peers; trains new employees; coaches and directs other employees in account management, strategy, and outreach
