To be successful as a Hawkins International Public Relations Account Coordinator, strong writing and verbal skills are imperative, along with an appreciation and understanding of the luxury marketplace. The position will be responsible for securing press coverage on behalf of clients, developing and maintaining relationships with national, regional, and trade media—traditional print, TV, radio and web. In addition, the position will be responsible for overseeing various administrative tasks including maintaining databases, sending out releases, updating press materials, social media tracking, maintaining and qualifying media leads, monthly updates and reports. Responsibilities include being responsible for integral support of client teams. ACs must proactively respond to client requests, monitor social media channels and assist team members in executing PR plans. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

- Secure client coverage

- Proactive, reactive, and follow-up pitching as necessary

- Track, maintain, and secure clipsUpdate and maintain client press materials

- Update and maintain client photo folders on the server

- Follow media leads and query clients as necessaryMonitor social media channels for clients

- Execute PR plansCoordinate and attend media events and media appointments

- Build and update media listsConduct proactive research for new coverage

- Qualify, coordinate, and secure media visitsFormulate internal agendas and client meeting agendas

- Take notes and share with client teams as necessary

- Initiate press release formulation and edit drafts as necessary

- Assist with updating and managing Constant Contact and HIPR database

- Build and distribute press releases in Constant Contact

- Assist in managing and delegating responsibilities to interns

- Establish and maintain relationships with national media

- Compile and distribute monthly PR reports

Requirements:

Qualifications:

- College degree and relevant work experience 1-2 years minimum

- Excellent Social Media knowledge and proven execution

- Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated and focused on achievement

- Enthusiastic team playerCan thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Understanding of / experience in travel industry a plus

- Can legally work in the U.S.

- Excellent computer / web skillsExcellent writing / communication skills

- References and writing samples will be required
