The primary purpose of this position is to support BMF’s mission of delivering extraordinary integrated creative marketing programs, through passionate conceptualization and articulation of BIG ideas.

Candidates should have 1-3 years’ experience working in a marketing agency, creative (copy), or creative strategy department, brand consultancy, OR Masters in Communication Strategy at an advertising/marketing school (or similar training).

You’ll develop winning integrated marketing programs working in a collaborative team environment. Key attributes include: being culturally curious, extremely organized, articulate storyteller (written/verbal), creative, organized, and a self-motivated professional dedicated to achieving meeting and exceeding both client and internal expectations.

Does this sound like you? As an Associate Creative Strategist, you’ll be a key asset to a growing agency and growing creative strategy team. You’ll write and articulate winning creative strategies. You’ll conduct research, take notes in brainstorms, write responses to client briefs and answer RFPs that clearly and cleverly convey clients’ goals through both creative strategies and executional tactics. You’ll work cross-functionally in close partnership with the strategy team, design team, practice leads, and senior leadership to create proposals that utilize integrated communications strategies to drive organic growth of existing clients, as well as lead new business pitches. You’ll interpret client objectives, target audience, message, tone, and scope of integrated programs into show-stopping decks and articulate concepts that SELL. Brand experiences, audience engagement, and earned attention strategies will be your bread and butter.

Key Responsibilities

Admin

- Organize project and departmental documents using agency systems and resources

- Ensure that all strategy files are meticulously organized

- Prepare, develop, and copy edit agency’s bi-weekly newsletter

Research

- Use research to build a story about consumers, category, culture, and brand

- Synthesize research findings to glean empathic key insights that relate to consumer attitudes and human truths

Strategy

- Articulate concepts and marketing strategies

- Write outlines, architect decks, and write consumer facing copy

- Work with agency counterparts to develop strategies for integrated programs

- Ensure integrated proposals are aligned to the overall strategy

Results

- Work with account management and client teams to determine program KPIs

- Propose program evaluation and measurement methods to demonstrate positive ROI Pulse

- Stay abreast of category, social, and cultural trends to present clients to inspire cuttingedge creative solutions

- Develop creative and strategic winning programs for new and existing clients

Requirements:

- You are an excellent copywriter with attention to detail

- You can take direction, and write everything down in order to make sure ideas are captured in brainstorms or working sessions

- You are an excellent, communicative collaborator

- You are a KEYNOTE whiz. And if you’re not, you’ll learn real fast.

- You both respect the box, AND have beyond-the-box ideas

- You are wildly creative, balanced with a down-to-earth business savviness

- You have a proven understanding/experience using both traditional and new digital tools and tactics

- You employ creative and sometimes-scrappy research skills, looking in unexpected places for the answer

- Your command of the English language is masterful

- Your use of language and persuasive writing get people excited

- You have excellent presentation and verbal communication skills

- You have the ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects and maintain tight deadlines

- You excel in collaborating in cross-functional teams, and thrive in a bit of chaos

- You can work independently, as well as in groups

- You’re a great listener, and can take other people’s ideas, and make them even better

AND

- You also have your own ideas, but are humble enough to take creative direction

- Integrated non-traditional marketing experience preferred

- Local cultural knowledge and international curiosity

- Bachelor’s degree required
