Tanya Taylor is looking for a freelance PR + VIP associate who possesses a strong understanding of the fashion, media, and influencer landscape and is passionate about supporting the team to execute a 360 communications strategy through thoughtful story-telling and community-led initiatives. This is a part time role with the potential to transition to full time.
The Associate will be responsible for supporting the Manager of Brand Communications + Talent Relations with media relations and contact management, pitching and securing product placements, influencer program research and execution, VIP strategy execution, sample trafficking and closet management, press tracking and monthly reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage sample closet and database and facilitate sample trafficking to media and stylists utilizing Fashion GPS
- Communicate with media and stylists to pitch and facilitate product placements
- Assist in executing influencer + VIP strategy
- Assist with event logistics and guest list management for all digital press related events including NYFW
- Monitor, track and clip all placements sharing relevant articles with larger marketing team for external and internal use
- Create and distribute weekly and monthly press reports
- Available 5 days a week, for a total of 20-30 hours per week
- Based in the metro New York area and available for in person office work as needed, a few days a week pending requests and NYS and company protocols*
- 1-3 years PR experience working at an agency or in-house
- Possess a strong understanding of fashion, media and influencer landscape
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and ability to craft a clear and compelling message
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Creative, inquisitive and passionate with ability to find and identify new opportunities for the brand
- Passionate about VIP dressing and influencer management
- Ability to work and communicate well in a remote team environment
- Have access to a computer with reliable access to the internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
