PR & Events Intern House of Stories is seeking a motivated, organized, and proactive intern interested in gaining hands-on experience in public relations, communications, influencer marketing, and events. House of Stories is a New York-based, female-led communications and brand marketing consultancy working with restaurant, food and beverage, fragrance, and lifestyle brands. The intern will support the team across multiple client accounts, assisting with media relations, influencer outreach, reporting, event coordination, and day-to-day organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly client reports, including media coverage, influencer activity, and campaign results.
- Research, build, and update media, influencer, and industry contact lists.
- Track media outreach, product seeding, coverage, and follow-ups.
- Manage guest lists, invitations, RSVPs, confirmations, and event check-in materials.
- Provide on-site support at media, influencer, and brand events.
- Help coordinate product mailings, gifting, reservations, and appointments.
- Research relevant media opportunities, editorial calendars, influencers, partnerships, and industry events.
- Assist with presentations, campaign recaps, spreadsheets, and other client materials.
- Work with platforms and tools including MightyScout, CoverageBook, and Claude AI.
- Support the development of the social media calendar for House of Stories’ Instagram account.
- Provide general administrative and organizational support across client projects.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple assignments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly Excel and Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with Canva and social media platforms is preferred.
- Interest in restaurants and hospitality, food, fragrance, lifestyle, and cultural trends.
- Previous internship or event experience is helpful but not required.
- Knowledge of Italian or another foreign language is a plus but not required.
Schedule and Working Conditions
- Term: Fall 2026, with the ability to start as soon as possible.
- Commitment: Three days per week, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including a lunch break.
- Location: Primarily remote, with weekly in-person meetings with the founder and on-site event support in New York City.
- Candidates must be based in or near New York City and available for occasional evening events.
- Compensation: This internship is for school credit only and includes a monthly meal reimbursement of up to $150.
This internship offers practical experience across public relations, influencer marketing, events, and client communications. The intern will work directly with the founder of House of Stories and gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of an independent communications consultancy.
