Job Description:
Agency Esta is hiring for an Account Executive in its Lifestyle & Design PR division. The position of Account Executive reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Design & Hospitality (Victoria Hood). The Account Executive serves as a primary day-to-day operational contact responsible for executing media relations tactics, managing targeted media lists, drafting press materials, spearheading press clipping and coverage reporting, and managing account workflow, while senior leadership leads broader account strategy and high-level client relationship management.
Responsibilities:
- Act as day-to-day operational lead on assigned accounts and oversee core PR execution for clients in lifestyle, hospitality, wine/spirits, and design.
- Work alongside senior leadership to implement effective PR strategies and media campaigns for clients including Klocke Estate, Neverstill Wines, Farmstead Hudson Valley, WLLW, and Hortulus Animae.
- Own project management of PR deliverables, ensuring pitches, press alerts, media lists, and client reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor editorial landscapes through media listening, editorial calendar tracking, and journalist movement analysis. Implement day-to-day media relations tactics, including developing and pitching stories to editors, writers, and freelancers across lifestyle, wine/spirits, design, and wellness sectors.
- Create targeted media lists and lead outreach efforts for pitch campaigns, supporting sample coordination, image requests, pitch tracking, and placement verification.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business, brand positioning, and key objectives; proactively surface media opportunities and flag potential timing issues before they arise.
- Spearhead daily press clipping and monthly reporting; translate media coverage into clean press decks, comprehensive coverage trackers, and clear takeaways for the account team and clients.
- Understand client products, brand heritage, and aesthetic positioning across high-end design, luxury wine/spirits, and regional hospitality.
- Initiate, prepare for, and attend internal strategy syncs and client status meetings.
- Align with the broader agency team as needed for brainstorms, joint real estate/lifestyle pitch builds, and campaign launches. Edit written materials for quality control, narrative tone, and strict attention to detail.

Education and Experience Required:
- 2–4 years minimum experience in public relations (agency experience preferred).
- BA/BS Degree. Requires strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven track record of securing editorial placements across lifestyle, hospitality, design, or wine/spirits publications.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Ability to prioritize while simultaneously working on numerous accounts and moving deliverables in a remote environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and results-driven with a methodical approach to media tracking and client reporting.
- Ability to spot editorial trends and integrate them into daily pitching efforts to keep accounts current in the media landscape.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily PR mechanics independently without micromanagement.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with PR tools and databases such as MuckRack, Cision, Meltwater, and CoverageBook.
- Familiarity with key media outlets spanning lifestyle, design, food/beverage, spirits, and Hudson Valley regional publications.
- Experience presenting performance reporting or campaign updates directly on client status calls.
