We bring our flair as one of the UK’s most decorated agencies to American shores on behalf of a bold slate of consumer, hospitality, lifestyle, and culture clients.  W is independently owned, free-thinking, and driven by a single core belief: communication is an integral engine of 21st-century brands - not just marketing veneer. Role Overview: As an Associate Account Executive (AAE), you are the operational engine and foundational media tracker for our NY account teams. Associate Account Executives have a real thirst for knowledge, demonstrate an eagerness to hone their communications tradecraft, and operate with relentless attention to detail.  In this role, you will work directly on high-profile consumer and lifestyle brands, learning how to build targeted media lists, execute media outreach, craft compelling press materials, and track high-impact coverage across traditional print, digital, broadcast, and social channels.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

Media & Influencer Execution

  • Daily News Agenda: Review media outlets, social feeds, and digital publications daily to stay ahead of the cultural news cycle, proactive newsjacking opportunities, and competitor trends.
  • Targeted Outreach: Start building direct relationships with journalists, editors, and digital creators; take an active, persistent role in pitching stories, giftings, and campaign launches as directed.
  • List Building: Research and build hyper-targeted, accurate media and influencer lists across beauty, lifestyle, culture, hospitality, and consumer sectors.

Client & Account Operations

  • Reporting & Tracking: Play a key role in generating daily media monitoring alerts, logging coverage, and compiling polished weekly and monthly client status/coverage reports.
  • Meeting Management: Help prepare client agendas and presentation decks; attend client calls to take comprehensive notes and distribute actionable next steps immediately after.
  • Sample & Product Logistics: Oversee product call-ins, media send-outs, sample tracking, and event check-in/logistics.

Written Communication

  • Material Drafting: Demonstrate sharp written proficiency by drafting clear press releases, media alerts, consumer pitch angles, credit sheets, and brand backgrounders under senior guidance.
  • Process Discipline: Ensure all client documents are accurately formatted, proofread, named, and organized within central electronic team folders.
