Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Publicist/Account Manager role based in El Segundo, CA ( Los Angeles). PLEASE do not apply if you do not plan on living in Los Angeles. The Publicist/Account Manager will manage day-to-day PR activities for professional athlete clients, including drafting press materials, coordinating interviews, and securing media placements. Responsibilities include maintaining direct communication with clients, media, and partners; developing and executing publicity campaigns; and monitoring media coverage to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. The role also involves supporting brand-building initiatives such as event appearances, social media campaigns, charitable activities, and sponsorship-related communications. The Publicist/Account Manager will collaborate with internal team members to ensure all client initiatives are aligned, timely, and executed to a high standard of professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong Public Relations and Publicity skills, with experience developing and executing PR campaigns for high-profile or public-facing clients. TWO YEARS MINIMUM.
  • Proficiency in Media Relations, including pitching stories, cultivating relationships with journalists, and managing media inquiries.
  • Ability to write and edit Press Releases and related press materials with accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, media, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in sports, entertainment, or lifestyle PR is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working on-site and in person with talent, including occasional events, appearances, and off-hours needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency with media monitoring tools, basic social media platforms, and standard office software.

Must Have at Least Two Years of PR Experience as a Publicist. No Internships Considered as Work. No Exceptions. This is "not" a starting position, but it also is not a senior position. 

This Role Is for a Publicist Who Is a Go-Getter, Hard Worker, and Great at Adapting to Different Personalities. Knowledge of Sports and Entertainment is a MUST.

Salary Range

  • $75,000- $80,000 based on Experience.
