As an Associate Account Manager, you will gain valuable experience in Communications, Marketing, and Media Relations at a Long Island City-based agency offering media strategy and brand consulting to organizations that foster culture and diversity.

Responsibilities:

Provide media relations support for account teams including: creating pitches for media, packaging assets, creating clip books, media monitoring, maintaining media lists, developing and tracking editorial calendars, and writing press releases and advisories.

Update media lists with key print, online, and broadcast media contacts spanning various categories.

Manage client accounts by developing strategies and tactics to promote opportunities for media coverage as well as creating agendas, timelines, meeting recaps, and content development ideas.

Oversee online events for social media platforms as well as in-person venues including concept development, list management, RSVP management, run-of-show development, and technical execution as needed.

Requirements:

Education and Experience Required:

BA/BS Degree
Previous internship or staff experience required, preferably in public relations and/or marketing

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Ability to prioritize while simultaneously working on numerous projects
Detail oriented and results driven
Ability to spot trends and integrate into PR efforts to keep accounts current in the media
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 
Proficient in social media platforms and digital assets management 
Strong understanding of the media landscape and industry trends
