About the Job:
The Senior Director of Influencer and Affiliate Marketing is responsible for establishing and managing influencer and affiliate programs across our client portfolio. This role focuses on developing scalable programs that drive measurable results, while building authentic creator relationships and innovative partnership strategies.
The ideal candidate has a holistic understanding of affiliate marketing, influencer partnerships, and the evolving creator economy. They are equally comfortable developing strategic recommendations, analyzing performance data, negotiating complex partnerships, and leading cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution. They can translate brand objectives into integrated programs, optimize campaigns using performance insights, and confidently guide clients through an ever-changing digital landscape.
To be a fit for this role, you should be able to provide examples of the influencer and affiliate programs you’ve managed, alongside their direct impact on revenue. It is essential that these programs—and the underlying affiliate marketing strategy—be entirely analytics-driven. You should also be prepared to discuss your approach to navigating the unique challenges of negotiating with both internal and external stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
- Lead the strategy, execution, and performance optimization of integrated influencer, creator, affiliate, and social commerce programs across a portfolio of clients.
- Develop data-informed creator and affiliate strategies that align with client business objectives, leveraging performance insights, platform trends, and audience behavior.
- Define timelines and success metrics, analyze campaign performance, and provide strategic recommendations to improve creator mix, content performance, earned reach, engagement, and revenue.
- Forecast campaign performance, traffic, sales, and budget allocation based on historical data, platform benchmarks, and program objectives.
- Oversee influencer affiliate program strategy, including platform implementation, commission structures, creator incentives, recruitment, and long-term program growth.
Influencer and Media Expertise
- Build, cultivate, and manage high-impact relationships with creators, talent managers, agencies, affiliate partners, and platform representatives.
- Develop creator recruitment strategies that identify emerging and established talent aligned with each client's target audience, brand values, and campaign objectives.
- Lead creator negotiations, contracting, gifting strategies, paid partnerships, usage rights, and campaign execution from briefing through reporting.
- Partner closely with creators to maximize authentic storytelling, content quality, affiliate performance, and long-term brand advocacy.
- Stay ahead of industry trends across the creator economy, social platforms, affiliate commerce, and emerging technologies to identify new partnership opportunities and innovative campaign approaches.
- Collaborate with affiliate and publisher partners to drive incremental revenue while expanding commerce opportunities across the creator ecosystem.
Client Leadership
- Serve as the senior point of contact for an average of 5-7 key accounts, providing thought leadership on influencer marketing, creator commerce, and affiliate strategy.
- Identify opportunities to expand client programs through new campaign concepts, creator initiatives, platform partnerships, and emerging commerce opportunities, managing stakeholder interests and expectations along the way.
- Present campaign strategy, performance insights, and recommendations to senior client stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Support the division lead with scope alignment and identifying areas for roster growth.
- Build strong relationships and trust with clients while managing ongoing client relations.
- Proactively anticipate client needs and questions to ensure the team is always a step ahead.
- Push programs forward seamlessly, keeping execution on time and on strategy.
Team Management and Development
- Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members while fostering collaboration, accountability, and strategic thinking across the team.
- Leverage approved AI tools to streamline research and administrative workflows, improving the speed and consistency of daily tasks while strictly adhering to agency data-privacy protocols and ensuring every AI-generated draft undergoes thorough human fact-checking.
- Partner cross-functionally with PR to deliver integrated creator and affiliate campaigns.

- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of affiliate marketing experience at a start-up, agency, or similar environment.
- Affiliate background in e-commerce or DTC companies preferred; experience in publishing is well regarded.
- Existing relationships with a Rolodex of influencers and affiliates.
- Proficiency with 3rd-party affiliate tools (e.g., Impact Radius, Awin).
- Proficiency with 3rd-party influencer programs (e.g., ShopMy, LTK, Grin, etc.)Deep knowledge of affiliate marketing and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in successful client management.
- Strong project management, negotiation skills, and the ability to work with and analyze technical data.
