Based in New York, the Public Relations Manager is responsible for defining and implementing Public Relations plans, in line with Aesop’s brand, to support the achievement of our business goals. Using their deep knowledge of the industry, the Public Relations Manager will initiate, develop and nurture strong relationships with media. Through individual appointments, product demonstrations, and events, the Public Relations Manager will foster an understanding of Aesop’s products, brand philosophy, and distinct approach to skincare.
The Public Relations Manager will secure key placements in press, covering a broad but carefully selected list of publications (including beauty, lifestyle, fashion and design; men’s and women’s; print and online; national, regional, and local) in conjunction with a West Coast-based consultant. The Public Relations Manager will support brand awareness nationally through product launches and regionally through store launches.

- Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Liberal Arts or equivalent industry experience
- Approximately 5 years of PR experience, in agency or in-house, preferably in a luxury or creative industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and superb organization and planning skills
- Experience with end-to-end project management and oversight
- Strategic thinker with a result-focused approach
- Excellent social perceptiveness, interpersonal skills and an ability to engage with a wide range of influencers and to nurture meaningful dialogue on diverse topics.
- Existing relationships within the Public Relations industry highly valued
