Description:

Purple is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic senior candidate to join its lifestyle team in the New York office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in successful property, hotel and brand launches, large scale events, global PR and marketing campaigns, brand collaborations, staff management, and overall brand strategy.

This position will be based in our NY office. Purple also has full-service offices in Los Angeles and London.

Responsibilities include overseeing global media relations and brand positioning campaigns on behalf of top tier Lifestyle and Travel clients based in the U.S. This candidate will have a roster of editorial contacts spanning Editors in Chief, Executive and Deputy Editors, Fashion Directors, et al.  They will also have the ability to create and implement high impact, unique, and relevant cultural programming and content for Purple’s clients. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Day-to-day point person for high level client contacts ranging from CEO’s to VP and Directors.

-Proactively building and implementing strategy for clients

-Take client business objectives and develop a linear and cohesive communication strategy that reflects those business objectives

-Lead client programs and campaigns from planning to execution within the specified budget • Commercially focused

-Pull and collaborate with different divisions across the agency and office to ensure the client is getting access to the agency's network-wide expertise

-Managing client benchmarks and delivering strong media coverage through leadership and guidance • Consistently producing high quality internal and external communications content

-Manage and motivate other members of the team to ensure day to day operations run smoothly and PR results are delivered; while supporting them in their growth to the next level.

-Proactively seek out and propose new business ideas, creating proposals and pitching

-Strategize, execute, and manage global media relations campaigns across lifestyle, travel, fashion and business media.

-Collaborate with division heads and project teams as necessary to seamlessly integrate cultural programming into project strategy and schedule and ensure successful execution of press and social media campaigns, special events, retail collaborations, and/or other deliverables

-Maintain active involvement in and relationship with the fashion/travel/art/design/architecture communities,

Requirements:

-6-8 years of PR, F&B experience

-Superior high-level media contacts and broadcast, print and online media

-Experience managing account teams

-Established relationships with influencers within Purple’s areas of focus, including fashion, travel, beauty, lifestyle, music, art and culture

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Exceptional problem-resolution skills, including the ability to think creatively and prioritize multiple assignments in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

-Ability to be a team player in an environment that requires and rewards collaboration

-BA/BS Required
