About the Job

CORK + KNIFE spends its days in food, wine, and spirits, and is looking for someone who wants to do work they'll actually bring up at dinner with their friends. Cork+ Knife is a Latina and woman-owned boutique communications agency with a carefully chosen roster of food, wine, and spirits brands. They do general market and multicultural PR, and we take both seriously. Their team is direct, hardworking, and genuinely good to each other. Hustle plus humanity: that's how they operate. If that sounds like you, read on and reach out.

What You'll Work On

Client & account work: You'll be a key contact for clients. Between running meetings, managing deliverables, and keeping accounts on track, we expect you to know how to build trust with clients and how to flag problems before they become fires.

Media & PR: You write a great pitch email, and you're not afraid to pick up the phone. You'll lead proactive outreach, own media lists across food, travel, spirits, wine, trades and lifestyle, and track coverage with pride. Existing relationships in wine, spirits, or food media are a real plus.

Multicultural PR: We work across both general market and multicultural audiences, and this role touches both. You understand how to shape messaging and media strategy for different communities — and you know that's not just a translation exercise.

Events: From concept to clean-up, you'll help bring client events to life — venue research, invitations, RSVPs, décor, catering, and making sure the night runs smoothly.

Social & influencer: You understand Instagram and know the difference between paid and organic influencer programming. You can manage content calendars and influencer relationships without being micromanaged, and you instinctively build that into general PR efforts.

REQUIREMENTS:

3–5 years of communications agency experience, ideally with some time in food, wine, or spirits. You're organized without being rigid, fast without being sloppy, and you genuinely enjoy building media relationships over time, not just blasting a list.

You manage your own workload well, help the people around you do the same, and don't need much hand-holding. A real interest in the industry helps. Knowing your grower Champagne from your pét-nat doesn't hurt either.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary commensurate with experience. Full benefits including healthcare and paid time off. Discretionary annual bonus.
