Junior Account Executive Overview:

Join Emily Blair Media as a Junior Account Executive and step into a role where your passion for storytelling meets real-world strategy. You'll support media campaigns from concept to execution, build meaningful press relationships, learn from senior team members while overseeing coordinators below you, and grow into a trusted partner for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Support & Strategy

  • Assist in developing and executing strategic PR campaigns in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Help build strategy decks, including ideation, execution plans, and overarching goals.
  • Partner with senior team members to implement client strategy and pitch creative, compelling story angles to media.

Media Relations

  • Craft compelling pitches, press releases, and media materials that authentically communicate each client’s story.
  • Actively support the team in building and cultivating media relationships to secure meaningful coverage across print, digital, and broadcast.
  • Create and maintain targeted media lists on Muckrack for yourself and team members to ensure that pitches reach the right contacts.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile client-facing reports and updates.

Client Communication & Management

  • Serve as a consistent and reliable point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day communications and requests.
  • Join client calls as needed and ensure that all relevant updates and insights are communicated clearly to your team.
  • Distribute all call agendas and recaps, and ensure follow-through on all action items.
  • Handle scheduling coordination in partnership with the Account Coordinator and ensure opportunities are sent promptly to clients.

Pitch Writing

  • Write and revise pitch drafts with guidance from AEs and SAEs.
  • Demonstrate growth in pitch writing; within six months, draft pitches should require only minimal edits before final approval.

Event Coordination

  • Assist in the planning and execution of press events, brand launches, and red carpet appearances.
  • Support logistics, invitation coordination, and on-the-ground media support.

Trend Reporting & Social Listening

  • Stay up to date with cultural, industry, and media trends.

Share timely trend insights with the team to inform strategy and pitching angles.

Team Collaboration & Oversight

  • Act as the first point of contact for Account Coordinators within your pod.
  • Provide training, feedback, and task oversight to help ACs grow in their roles.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to meet deadlines and ensure seamless project execution.
REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in public relations, communications, media, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with media relations, talent representation, and PR campaign execution.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and industry PR tools (e.g., Muckrack).Must be available to attend client events and media opportunities off-site as needed.
