The Brandman Agency is a global communications agency with offices in NYC and Los Angeles. We help shine a light on the world’s most prestigious travel and lifestyle brands. We are passionate, approachable and most importantly, well-traveled.  We are currently accepting resumes for a PR Account Executive or Senior Account Executive to join our New York City office. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of agency experience with additional experience and/or interest in the travel and hospitality industry. Responsibilities include:

-Monitoring industry trends and client coverage

-Screening and fulfilling all media requests

-Writing pitch letters, press releases and client communiqués

-Assisting in planning and execution of events, press trips and media tours; escorting trips when required and acting as a professional representative of The Brandman Agency

-Assembling error-free weekly and/or monthly client status reports

-Drafting and executing personalized pitches for media to ensure a robust pipeline of media coverage for each account

-Maintain regular direct contact with clients and journalists

-Develop and maintain editorial/journalistic/media contacts, including in all new media

-Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ businesses and their competitive environments

-Actively participate in/contribute to the development of client PR plans and projects, along with ongoing creative ideation

-Ongoing relationship building and maintenance with both key journalists and new media

-Demonstration of higher-level pitching and strategy when communicating with media

-Implementation of media events, briefings, press trips, etc.-Facilitate teamwork by delegating and involving junior staff members and interns when possible

-Develop an understanding of various research methods; coordinate internal and external resources in implementing research projects

-Solid knowledge of digital media landscape with the creativity to implement and present ideas and suggestions to client teams

-Support new business generation when appropriate from a research and creative ideation standpoint 

Requirements:

-BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field preferred

-3-5 years PR experience (agency and travel/ lifestyle preferred)

-Currently reside in the greater New York City area and be legally authorized to work in the United States​

-Proficiency with MS Office and industry tools such as Meltwater, etc.

-Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Keynote is a plus but not a requirement​
