KLG Public Relations is hiring a Senior Account Executive to join its award-winning PR team. The ideal candidate should be entrepreneurial in nature with 3-5 years of PR experience, including at least one year in the wine & spirits industry.

The candidate must be an ambitious self-starter and multitasker with strong media contacts across both spirits and lifestyle media to represent high-profile and celebrity-owned brands.

The role requires but is not limited to proactive and reactive media relations; strategy development, budget management, client service, creative writing (press releases, media alerts), and creative brainstorming.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive and reactive media pitching to consumer and trade press.
  • Successfully pitch stories, meet with and manage media to deliver high-quality results.
  • Creative brainstorming sessions and brand strategy.
  • Seek out creative ideas and opportunities to identify and cultivate story ideas for media pitching.
  • Follow industry and client category trends and regularly share insights, thoughts, and key findings, particularly as it relates to competitors.
  • Create key assets for accounts, including press releases, fact sheets, biographies, messaging, media alerts, agendas, and recaps.
  • Manage multiple clients while meeting various deadlines.
  • Media list management.
  • Guide and mentor AE/AAE/AC teammates.

The position is NYC-based with a HYBRID (2x/wk in office) schedule

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3-5 years of job experience with preferably at least 1 year in the wine and spirits, lifestyle, or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in public relations or a related field.
  • Knowledge of lifestyle, wine & spirits, and celebrity industries.
  • Understanding of the media landscape and journalist relationships.
  • Proven track record of successful media placements.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of social networks (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).
