JAC is a New York City based PR agency specializing in hospitality, travel, and lifestyle PR brands. We are seeking a passionate intern for Fall 2019 to start immediately. All candidates must have an interest in and basic understanding of the hospitality, travel, and culinary industry. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for this position.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Press clipping
-Press audits
-Compiling and maintaining media lists
-Assist with coordination of with media mailings
-Editorial calendar research
-Creating updates and meeting recaps for clients
-Assist with weekly and monthly press coverage reports
-Support with social media calendar and assist in developing content for agency platforms
-Writing press materials (press releases, fact sheets, bios, etc.)
-Basic outreach to the media and instagram influencers
-Assisting with client events (Sending invites, managing RSVP follow up, etc)
-Monitor social media and stay up to date on top travel and lifestyle influencers
In addition, interns should also be prepared to provide administrative support to the JAC team. This is a great opportunity to learn about the public relations industry and gain hands-on experience working with the media and clients.
- Previous NYC PR agency experience
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be personable, detail-oriented and highly enthusiastic
- Passion for hospitality, travel, and food, and an interest in communications and journalism
- Familiar with Google, InDesign, and Adobe Suites
- Strong understanding of social media platforms
- Knowledge of Italian or French helpful
- Apple laptop preferred
- Positive energy and attitude
