Description:

As Senior Publicist, you will be focused on new business development in the entertainment industry, as well as working on some of the agency’s highest-profile accounts, securing press, and participating in all aspects of client relations. 

Role Responsibilities: 

-Lead charge on new business opportunities, including bringing in new leads, helping the CEO and Brand Director draft proposals, presentations and any other marketing materials necessary to expand the client roster. 

-Manage and oversee all aspects of accounts, from providing high-level client counsel to creating, overseeing and implementing big picture strategy, development of action plans that are create, results-driven and fresh, and executing creative campaigns and partnerships. 

-Help manage junior team members, including evaluating their work and providing mentorship, education, motivation and constructive criticism where necessary. 

-Stay on top of changing industry landscape and develop forward-thinking approaches focused on both traditional and new media opportunities (print, digital, video, social media, etc). 

-Maintain high-level industry and media contacts. 

-Be a thought leader when it comes to creative ways to integrate social media and traditional PR initiatives. 

-Monitor competition and identify industry trends. Share with teams and clients, as well as build creative and strategic pitches to support trends. 

-Attend industry events and network on behalf of the agency with media and industry contacts to continue to grow The Storied Group’s talent roster. 

Requirements:

-BA degree required. A degree in Communications, Media or other related field is a plus. 

-5-6 years of experience in talent PR required. 

-A strong interest in new business development by fully owning the process with a history of cultivating leads, growing existing accounts and leading new business pitches. 

- Strong leadership, big picture strategy and management skills, and a love for mentoring and developing a team of talented staff. 

-High-level media relationships and an understanding of the changing media landscape as it relates to social media.

-Strong industry relationships including talent agencies, managers, entertainment attorneys, talent bookers, talk show producers, etc. and an interest in cultivating more on behalf of the agency. 

-A love of working with talent and the ability to manage different personalities and anticipate needs. 

-An appreciation and understanding of pop culture and the entertainment industry. 

-You should be a self-motivated and hard-working team player.
