We are currently accepting resumes for a PR Account Executive to join our New York City office. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of agency experience with additional experience and/or interest in the travel and hospitality industry. Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring industry trends and client coverage
- Screening and fulfilling all media requests
- Assisting in planning and execution of events, press trips and media tours
- Vetting and facilitating individual media stay opportunities and influencer collaborations as part of clients' Visiting Journalist Programs
- Assembling error-free weekly and/or monthly client status reports
- Drafting and executing personalized pitches for media to ensure a robust pipeline of media coverage for each account
- Develop and maintain regular direct contact with clients and journalists
- Drafting and editing press releases
- Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ businesses and their competitive environments
- Contributing to client creative strategy and programming & partnership ideation
- Facilitate teamwork by delegating and involving entry-level staff members and interns when possible
- Participating in the Agency's Media Entertaining Program
- Solid knowledge of digital media landscape with the creativity to implement and present ideas and suggestions to teams
- BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field preferred
- 2-3 years of PR experience (agency and travel/ lifestyle preferred)
- Currently reside in the greater New York City area and be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and industry tools such as Muck Rack, Keynote, Canva
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, resourceful, and able to prioritize competing deadlines
- Strong time management and task execution skills
This is a hybrid role, with three days per week in our NYC office, two days remote.
