Description:

Bookmark Content is looking for an art- and editorial-minded social media coordinator to help run a major brand’s social media channels (brand disclosed after an NDA is signed) for a four month, 15-20 hour per week commitment. Pay is $21 per hour plus a $75 MetroCard each month. Start date Monday August 12 or Monday August 19. Must be local to NYC (we cannot sponsor or relocate).

Responsibilities:

-Research editorial content for the brand and its onsite partners.

-Conduct outreach to and respond to queries from existing and potential members of the brand’s digital community.

-Track and flag recurring positive and negative commentary about the brand happening on major social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube).

-Collect, edit and manage photo/video content for use on the brand’s social media channels.

-Draft and fact check copy in-line with the brand’s voice for use on social media.

-Brainstorm potential editorial and visual angles for social media content based on onsite partners’ content and events, and for upcoming seasons, holidays and occasions.

-Assist with weekly and monthly social media metrics reporting.

Requirements:

-You’re reliable, punctual, attentive to detail, a self-starter and a problem-solver.

-You have a strong sense of what makes a brand: voice, tone, optics.

-You have experience/interest in at least two of the following:

--Social media content creation and/or community management.

--Copyediting, writing, storytelling.

--Photography, videography, and/or graphic design.

-You are flexible and maintain grace under pressure.
