Description:

As the Account Director, Social Media, you’re a leader not just in your home office, but in the agency as well.  You look at the full landscape of the department to achieve agency goals, going beyond accounts and exploring how to best support our clients and future needs, roles, staffing, innovation, industry insights, new platforms and updates on tools. You’re a trusted voice, creating efficiencies with the PR team leaders for multiple clients.  The Account Director, Social Media demonstrates office and agency leadership by bringing thought leadership and learning opportunities for all offices, and provides input on all social scopes of work for the Agency. You’ll be responsible for reviewing Harvest and profitability numbers, and making recommendations on best steps going forward.

Duties and Responsibilities

Account + Client Management:

-Develop meaningful and successful account strategies that may transcend an individual account

-Oversee client strategy sessions, providing big-picture, creative and strategic thinking

-Execute top tier tactics, while strategically delegating overall team deliverables

-Creatively ideate

-Oversee partnership collaborations, offering industry and social expertise

-Oversee social media during times of crisis

-Be a visionary for the direction of content creation and alignment with PR efforts

-Integrate social-media work with the agency’s other work, as well as the clients’ paid efforts, to help produce maximum impact, results, engagement, traffic and ROI

Paid + Organic Social:

-Lead and provide expertise and guidance on the strategy behind and execution of all creative, organic and paid campaigns

-Lead paid social media efforts across all JPR social media client accounts ensuring organic efforts are supported and maximized with ad spend to increase results.  

-Provide expertise on client ad budgets, reviewing said budgets, flighting for all managed platforms, managing bid strategy, and campaign optimizations

-Approve requirements, tasks, and resources associated with paid social strategy and execution: includes account structure, bid management, targeting, budget management, landing page optimization, analytics and tracking, ROI and retention recommendations

-Approve one-off paid ideas / opportunities for all clients and implementation by team

Leadership:

-Begin managing managers, providing leadership, guidance, feedback and coaching to direct report(s)

-Act as a leader to team members on PR and Social accounts and all employees in agency

-Provide training, coaching, mentoring, as well as inspiration and support to JPR Employees across the agency and offices

Requirements:

-Computer skills, including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment.

-Excellent leadership and coaching skills

-Excellent oral and written communication skills

-Excellent interpersonal skills

-Excellent organizational skills

-Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

Experience:

-College Degree or comparable experience required

-At least 10 years of experience with digital marketing and/or social media, with a minimum of 6 years of experience leading projects on social accounts

-Expertise using tools to measure social media ROI and create reporting such as Hootsuite, SproutSocial, and Google Analytics

-Expertise using content management tools such as HeyOrca, SproutSocial, etc.

-Expertise implementing paid social media campaigns on Facebook and Instagram

-Experience leading photo editing efforts (Adobe/ Light Room)

-Expertise in Facebook Business Manager, Power editor, Ads Manager, Microsoft

-Office, Outlook, Canva

-Managing client expectations as they relate to scope and delivery of service

-Overseeing the financials of an account in a client-services organization
