Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this senior role will include serving as a strategic counsel to clients and as a team leader. The right candidate will have roots in the luxury/lifestyle world but be able to represent a mix of creative thinking and strategic reasoning.  As a senior member of the team, your responsibility will be leading the charge on projects and providing your expertise to all components of the process—assessing project feasibility, assigning work, resourcing, project planning, and interfacing directly with clients.

This person will be responsible for helping develop strong, integrated earned communications strategies that build brand awareness and achieve key business objectives. We’re looking for someone who has a strong track record with creating effective integrated earned strategies that break through in today's cluttered media and social landscape. In addition to team management and mentorship experience, we are also looking for someone who can be a part of new business and management decisions.

  • Develop & ideate on both campaigns and on-going projects, thinking through channel-specific needs and holistic opportunities for clients.
  • Quickly dive into current initiatives, supporting the creation of editorial frameworks, calendars, and presentations.
  • Capacity to audit, research, and analyze outside materials in shaping new ideas.
  • Work directly with team members across design, influencer, creative, and communications, participating or overseeing projects as needed.
  • Brainstorm and bring a point of view, contributing ideas and creative executions to solve problems in unexpected ways, translating them in ways that make them feel simple.
  • Be on top of the changing social, digital, and cultural landscape—looking for untapped opportunities and thinking to bring to our work.
  • Be a thought-partner for senior-level clients by understanding their business while helping to maintain and deepen our client relationships.
  • Develop creative, award-winning campaign ideas rooted in culture but based on insights.
  • Ensure that public relations, talent, content, and influencer strategies are aligned with the clients’ overarching objectives.
  • Be proactive, anticipate client needs, and keep multiple activities moving.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to agency teams.
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends, the competitive landscape, and confidently provide strategic points of view to the client.
  • Participate in new business pitch development and/or presentations.
  • Serve on the leadership team, drive office culture, and be a mentor to staff.

*Trend forecasters, writers, designers, producers, people persons, digital natives, culture heads, internet archaeologists, meme historians.

**Organizers, globetrotters, dropouts, skate shop alumni, former baristas, self-taught devs, indie publishers, fine artists, small-town escapees

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years of experience in communications, media intelligence, analytics, or related fields, with a focus on measurement and reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Deep understanding of earned media measurement frameworks and hands-on experience designing bespoke reporting systems.
  • Strong grasp of social, influencer, and digital analytics and how they intersect with PR and brand reputation.
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, and data visualization tools to enhance reporting efficiency and insight generation.
  • Proven ability to communicate insights to senior executives—turning data into strategy, and strategy into action.
  • Leadership experience, with a track record of building and inspiring teams.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, testing new tools, and driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong presenter.
  • Ability to travel periodically to engage with clients, attend senior-level forums, and represent Day One externally.
