Position Overview

Senior Public Relations Specialist (Full-Time / Part-Time) – New York City

We’re seeking a Senior Public Relations Specialist to join our NYC-based team full-time (part-time arrangements may be considered).The ideal candidate is a seasoned storyteller and media relations expert with a strong network across consumer tech, retail tech and lifestyle media. You have a proven track record of securing high-impact media features and crafting narratives that translate brand value into meaningful press moments.In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and nurturing key media relationships, developing strategic storylines, and driving press coverage for some of the most exciting brands in consumer tech, retail tech, lifestyle, and emerging sectors such as Web3 and AI.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead PR campaigns for clients, ensuring strategic planning and execution for maximum media impact and engagement.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients.Develop and execute PR strategies and media outreach plans for a range of clients across tech and lifestyle sectorsBuild and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and key media stakeholders
  • Draft press releases, media alerts, pitches, and thought leadership content
  • Monitor press coverage and report on campaign performance
  • Identify trending topics and opportunities for timely brand placement
  • Support at media events, product launches, and brand activations

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) Salary: $4,000–$5,000/month

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant PR experience
  • Has extensive media relations experience across digital, print, and broadcast (TV) platforms.
  • Proven track record of securing coverage in top-tier and relevant industry media
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Deep understanding of media trends in consumer tech, retail tech, and lifestyle, Web3, and AI
  • Experience managing multiple clients and deadlines simultaneouslyBased in the NYC Greater Region
